BOOKING AND CANCELLATION CONDITIONS


Any customer acknowledges having the capacity to contract under the conditions described in the conditions of sale presented below, that is to say to be of legal majority and not to be under guardianship or curatorship. All customers acknowledge having read these conditions of sale before placing their order. Therefore, taking an order entails its full adherence to the general and special conditions of sale and its unreserved acceptance of all of their provisions.

These general conditions of sale apply except for specific conditions specified in the proposal made to the customer and signed by the latter. Special conditions such as exclusive rentals, weddings and seminars which are the subject of a contract and/or an estimate. Thank you for contacting us to know the terms of reservation and the conditions of cancellation.

1 – RESERVATION

Reservations are only considered firm if accompanied by a credit card number with its expiry date. The credit card must be valid until the end of the reserved stay.

All reservations will be subject to a pre-authorization referred to in PLBS banking terms. The pre-authorization allows us to check the validity of the card as well as your creditworthiness.

For reservations of 2 rooms or stays of 2 nights or more, the payment of a deposit of 50% of the amount of the stay may be requested.

The bedrooms and lounges are all non-smoking. Animals are not allowed. The rooms are nominative and no additional person is authorized without prior authorization from the owner. The rooms are available from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival until 11 a.m. on the day of departure.

Please notify us in case of late arrival (after 7 p.m.) in order to maintain your reservation. The reception is open daily only from 9 am to noon and from 2 pm to 7 pm. To make your stay as pleasant as possible, please let us know if your arrival is scheduled outside reception opening hours.

Breakfast is not included: it is €16 per adult and €10 for a child under 8 years old.

The prices are indicated including VAT.

Payment 14 days before arrival for stays of 3 rooms or 3 nights or more.

NB: All prices are displayed in euros.

Methods of payment: We accept cards from the Carte Bleue, American Express, Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard networks or a transfer in euros. Ask us for a RIB extract from our bank. It mentions the IBAN (international bank account number) and the BIC (bank identifier code) two elements necessary for a transfer from a foreign country. It is specified that all bank charges inherent in the operation are the responsibility of the customer. Cash is only accepted for payments made on site. Cheques are not accepted.

Computing and Liberties: In application of Law 78-17 known as Computing and Liberties, customers are informed that their order is subject to computerized nominative processing. The right of access and rectification guaranteed by law is exercised with Château et Perspectives de Bourron.

Protection of personal data and security: No personal information is collected without your knowledge. No personal information is transferred to third parties without your authorization. No personal information is used for unintended purposes.

Personal data: The information requested from you when requesting reservations is essential for the proper processing of your request. They are only intended for the Château de Bourron.

Reservation conditions for a stay gift: The stay gifts marketed by the Château de Bourron are payable in advance. The date remains to be determined with the recipient of the gift. Under no circumstances may the holiday gift be canceled or refunded. For other stay gifts, the general terms and conditions of the issuing company apply.

2 – CANCELLATION

Cancellations are only taken into account in writing (Mail, fax or mail) and will only be effective when Château de Bourron has confirmed its acceptance by mail or email. The time indicated is that of the establishment's time zone (CEST).

In the event of cancellation, if you have paid all or part of the reservation online, this amount will be returned to you after deduction of the cancellation and reservation costs if there are any (except for non-cancellable, non-refundable offers) .

If your booking includes booking fees, please note that these are non-refundable.

It is advisable to cancel as soon as possible once the cause for cancellation has arisen.

2.1. Terms of cancelation

As part of a reservation for a maximum of 2 rooms and/or a stay of less than 3 nights.

Cancellation more than 5 days before the scheduled arrival date: the deposit will be refunded, less administrative and/or booking fees, if any.

Cancellation less than 5 days before the scheduled arrival date: 100% of the amount of the stay will be due regardless of the formula.

Early departure and no resale of the room, the rest of the stay will be debited as compensation.

No show at the hotel (No-Show): 100% of the total amount of the stay including all the services purchased at the time of booking will be due.

2.2. Special cases

Due to the small size of our establishment, we have 15 rooms, as part of a multiple reservation, if your stay is longer than 2 nights and/or if you have reserved more than two rooms.

Cancellation more than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date: the deposit will be refunded, less administrative and/or booking fees, if any.

Cancellation less than 30 days before and more than 5 days before the scheduled arrival date: 50% of the total amount of the stay including all the services purchased during the reservation will be due.

Cancellation less than 5 days before the scheduled arrival date, 100% of the total amount of the stay including all the services purchased during the reservation will be due.

Reservation confirmation: Your reservation can be confirmed by email.

Cancellation in the event of force majeure: Force majeure means any event external to the parties that is both unpredictable and insurmountable which prevents either the client, or the travellers, or the agency or the service providers involved in carrying out the trip, to perform all or part of the obligations provided for in the contract. By express agreement, this will be the case in particular with regard to strikes by means of transport, hotel staff, insurrection, riot and any prohibition enacted by the Public Power. It is expressly agreed that force majeure suspends, for the parties, the performance of their reciprocal obligations. At the same time, each of the parties bears the burden of all the costs incumbent upon it and which result from the case of force majeure. Consequently, travelers alone will bear the additional costs that may be incurred to allow the continuation of the trip following the occurrence of a case of force majeure.

Complaints: All complaints must be sent to Château et Perspectives de Bourron by registered letter within 48 hours of returning from the trip that is the subject of the complaint. This contract is subject to French law. In the event of a dispute relating to the application or interpretation of this contract, the parties agree to seek an amicable solution. Failing this, the competent jurisdiction will be that of the Tribunal de Grande Instance of Fontainebleau.

Mediation (article L.612-1)-choice of a consumer mediator

The principle: Mediation is an alternative method of dispute resolution. It is based on the will of at least one of the parties to find an amicable solution to a dispute. This desire to find an agreement allows the procedure to be much faster and less expensive than a judicial appeal. It is also strictly confidential.

In the event of a dispute or so-called consumer dispute with our company, an amicable settlement by mediation is possible:

  • For any request for mediation, the consumer buyer must be able to justify having, beforehand, tried to resolve his dispute directly with his usual customer relations department by a written complaint with AR and not having obtained a satisfactory answer within a period of two (2) months.
